Katy was recently accepted into the 2014 American Library Association Emerging Leaders program. The Emerging Leaders program is a leadership development program which enables newer library workers from across the country to participate in problem-solving work groups, network with peers, gain an inside look into ALA structure, and have an opportunity to serve the profession in a leadership capacity.
Katy was also the recipient of the 2013 American Library Association's Shirley Olofson Memorial Award. This award is for members of the American Library Association New Member Round Table who participate actively in the library profession. The award helps defray costs to attend the American Library Association Annual conference.
Prior to joining Auraria Katy worked in Circulation & Inter-library Loan at the Lewis & Clark Law School Library in Portland, Oregon.
